Role overview

Cloud infrastructure and migration

• Deploy and manage Azure infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage, networking, identity, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Configure networks, subnets, routing, VPN, network security groups, load balancing, and hybrid on-premises connectivity.
• Conduct infrastructure sizing, configuration, performance tuning, and operational optimization, and implement approved architectures.
• Assess readiness and plan and execute migrations from on-premises, virtualized, or hosted environments to Azure or AWS.
• Support workload and data migration, testing, validation, cutover, post-migration support, runbooks, and handover documentation.

Automation, security, and operations

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or relevant cloud-native tools.
• Implement deployment automation with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent CI/CD platforms.
• Write PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripts for provisioning and operational automation; apply version control and configuration management.
• Support Docker-based workloads and relevant container orchestration technologies.
• Implement identity controls such as RBAC and MFA, security baselines, logging, monitoring, resource protection, backup, recovery, and governance.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and connectivity issues, analyze resource use and cloud costs, and recommend operational improvements.
• Develop monitoring standards, operational runbooks, and maintenance procedures and support transition to managed services.

Customer and internal delivery

• Participate in customer technical discussions, workshops, and project planning, and translate approved designs into implementation tasks.
• Deliver cloud implementation and migration projects, coordinate with customer IT teams, OEMs, and partners, and perform testing and validation.
• Prepare configuration documents, reports, SOPs, handover materials, and customer knowledge-transfer sessions.
• Help create reusable templates, scripts, checklists, deployment standards, and cloud engineering practices.
• Assist presales with technical feasibility, demonstrations, and implementation estimates, and share knowledge with infrastructure and support teams.

Technical profile

• Strong hands-on Microsoft Azure skills, including Azure Virtual Machines, storage, networking, VPN, NSG, backup, monitoring, Entra ID, RBAC, governance, and cost optimization.
• Infrastructure experience with Windows Server, Linux, TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VPN, firewalls, virtualization, backup, recovery, and hybrid environments.
• Automation experience with Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure as Code, Git, CI/CD, PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Customer delivery experience with cloud infrastructure, migration projects, troubleshooting, technical communication, documentation, and handover.
• AWS, Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, Azure Bicep or ARM templates, Docker and Kubernetes, landing zones, governance, monitoring, and security tools are listed as preferred or additional skills.
• Managed services, MSP environments, FinOps, Microsoft 365, and hybrid identity exposure are listed as preferred or additional skills.

Qualifications and experience

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline is requested; equivalent practical experience may be considered.

• Work location is Bangalore, with work at the office and customer locations as required.
