Cloud architecture and infrastructure

• Design and implement infrastructure for data pipelines, environments, deployment, monitoring, and the full application lifecycle.
• Architect scalable cloud workloads and automations; document and implement patterns for microservices and service architectures.
• Design, build, and optimize infrastructure for high-availability applications and workflow automations.
• Select database, storage, and search systems for integration and data platforms.
• Lead architecture, technology design, and deployment projects to develop production-ready cloud solutions.

DevOps and infrastructure operations

• Support application and infrastructure architecture in AWS.
• Design, migrate, and implement robust, cost-effective AWS and cloud-infrastructure solutions aligned with existing DevOps systems and practices.
• Establish cloud strategy and controls for cost optimization, resource utilization, IAM, security posture, and governance.
• Create diagrams, project plans, documentation, and technology roadmaps; present designs at Architecture Review Board meetings.

Leadership and collaboration

• Train and mentor colleagues and ensure critical knowledge is shared across the team.
• Provide technical leadership for secure, scalable cloud capabilities that deliver measurable business value.
• Provide expert guidance for cloud infrastructure, management, security, and third-party product integrations.

Must-have qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required.
• Five or more years of networking and virtualized system administration experience for end-to-end cloud infrastructure architecture and design.
• Three or more years of cloud IaaS/PaaS architecture and implementation experience; AWS experience is required.
• Three or more years implementing public-cloud application architecture, automation, orchestration, governance, and security.
• Three or more years with container-based systems and orchestration such as Docker, Docker Swarm, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with identity frameworks such as OAuth, OpenID, and SAML; vulnerability and threat-management best practices.
• Solid understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, and authorization.
• Knowledge of emerging cloud technologies and experience with IT governance, risk, and compliance management.
• Mastery of Linux operating systems.

Nice-to-have knowledge

• Nice to have: Elasticsearch Stack; ActiveMQ or Artemis; Java and Spring Boot; intrusion detection and prevention services; relational and NoSQL databases; configuration management tools such as Ansible.
