Role overview

Help enterprise and commercial customers design secure, scalable, and resilient Azure cloud architectures for modernization.

Guide customers through migration, modernization, and optimization using Azure IaaS and PaaS services.

Own and win customers’ technical decisions and identify new opportunities through customer relationships and engagements.

Support migration of Windows, SQL Server, Linux, PostgreSQL, and Oracle workloads; modernize with the 6R strategy, containers, and Azure-native services.

Apply networking expertise to hybrid and cloud-native architectures, and help customers meet security and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Azure migration journeys and drive technical sales using demonstrations, proofs of concept, and architecture accelerators.
  • Lead architecture workshops and turn customer visions into plans, roadmaps, business cases, and implementation progress.
  • Build customer and partner relationships, co-design solutions, resolve blockers, and support partner technical capacity.
  • Identify new pipeline opportunities and represent Microsoft in customer forums and technical communities.

Required qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3+ years of technical presales or consulting experience; or bachelor's degree in a related field and 4+ years; or 5+ years of relevant experience; equivalent experience is accepted.

Preferred qualifications

  • 6+ years of technical presales, technical consulting, technology delivery, or related experience.
  • Experience with cloud and hybrid or on-premises infrastructure, architecture design, migrations, industry standards, or technology management.
  • Relevant technology or discipline certifications.

Platforms and technologies

  • Cloud migration workloads include Windows, SQL Server, Linux, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
  • Azure services include App Service and AKS; related technologies include SAP, Oracle, Azure VMware Solution, NetApp, VMware, and Red Hat.
  • The work covers networking, virtual networks, VPNs, secure routing, resiliency, security, and compliance.

Compensation

  • Typical base pay range across Canada is CAD $96,000–$177,600 per year.
