Job Requirements
- Qualified: You are a NMC-Registered Nurse or Pharmacist with a post-graduate Independent Prescribing (IP) qualification.
- Experienced: You have at least 5 years of clinical experience, with a minimum of 2 years specifically in obesity or diabetes care.
- Expert: You possess demonstrable expertise in managing GLP-1 medications and advanced knowledge of weight management therapies.
- Collaborative: You can simplify complex clinical messages for various stakeholders and thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
- Innovative: You have an interest in digital healthcare and experience in service improvement or pathway redesign.
Job Responsibilities
- Clinical Leadership: Provide day-to-day clinical and educational supervision for a growing team of non-medical prescribers (nurses and pharmacists).
- Expert Prescribing: Act as the senior point of contact for complex obesity pharmacotherapy and Type 2 diabetes cases.
- Pathway Innovation: Collaborate with engineering and pathway teams to design decision trees, prescribing protocols, and digital workflows.
- Quality & Governance: Lead quality improvement initiatives and audits focusing on GLP-1 efficacy, safety, and patient safeguarding.
- Training & Mentorship: Develop and deliver training resources to foster professional development across the multidisciplinary team.
