Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Clinical Dietitian role based at Summer Land Medical Center in Shakhbout City.
The Clinical Dietitian will assess patients’ nutritional status, develop individualized nutrition care plans, and provide medical nutrition therapy for a variety of acute and chronic conditions.
Daily responsibilities include conducting nutrition assessments, interpreting laboratory and clinical data, collaborating with physicians and nursing staff, and documenting care in patient records.
The role also involves providing nutritional counseling and education to patients, families, and caregivers, as well as participating in multidisciplinary rounds and case discussions.
The Clinical Dietitian will contribute to quality improvement initiatives, support hospital nutrition standards and policies, and participate in staff training and community education as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Dietetics and Human Nutrition, with the ability to apply evidence-based practice in clinical settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in Medical Nutrition Therapy for a range of medical conditions (e.g., diabetes, renal disease, gastrointestinal disorders, critical care).
- Proficiency in Nutritional Counseling, including culturally sensitive patient education and behavior change support.
- Comprehensive understanding of Nutrition principles related to health promotion, disease prevention, and therapeutic diets.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Current professional licensure/registration as a Clinical Dietitian/Nutritionist in the applicable jurisdiction, or eligibility to obtain it.
- Experience in a hospital or clinical setting, preferably within a multispecialty or acute care environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Commitment to ethical practice, patient-centered care, and ongoing professional development.
