The Owner provides strategic leadership and direction to Premier Foods Limited in a full-time, on-site capacity based in Nairobi County, Kenya.
The role oversees company strategy and performance across production, quality, supply chain, sales, and marketing.
Responsibilities
- Set the company vision and define long-term business goals; oversee operational performance across business functions.
- Manage senior leadership teams, review financial reports, and approve budgets.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and food safety standards.
- Guide development of PEPTANG, PEP, and ORCHID VALLEY brands and strengthen relationships with partners and distributors.
- Evaluate market opportunities and product lines; make decisions on investment, expansion, risk management, and organizational culture.
Qualifications
- Proven business ownership, executive leadership, or senior management experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, or a related industry.
- Strategic planning and decision-making experience involving growth, market expansion, and brand positioning.
- Finance, budgeting, and reporting knowledge, including interpreting financial data and driving profitability.
- Knowledge of food production, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and food safety standards and certifications.
- Leadership and people-management experience; communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Food Science, or a related field.
Advantageous qualifications
- Regional or international trade, export-market, or distribution-network experience is highly beneficial.
- An advanced degree such as an MBA is an added advantage.
