About This Role

Job Purpose:

The job purpose is to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards within the restaurant, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for customers and staff. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces, as well as emptying trash bins and restocking restroom supplies as needed.

Job Description

Cleaning and Sanitizing:

- Clean and sanitize all surfaces, including tables, countertops, chairs, and fixtures, using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.

- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors regularly to remove dirt, debris, and spills.

- Empty trash bins and replace liners as needed, ensuring proper disposal of waste.

- Clean and sanitize restroom facilities, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors.

Trash Removal:

- Empty trash bins and replace liners as needed throughout the restaurant.

- Dispose of trash and recyclable materials in designated areas according to waste management guidelines.

- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in trash storage areas.

Restroom Cleaning & Maintenance:

- Clean and disinfect restroom facilities, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors.

- Restock restroom supplies, such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels.

- Ensure that restrooms are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition at all times.

Floor Maintenance:

- Perform routine floor care tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and buffing floors to maintain cleanliness and shine.

- Clean floor mats, carpets, and rugs regularly to remove stains and odors.

Dining Area Support:

- Assist in maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, clearing tables, and supporting the front-of-house staff as/if needed.

Restocking Supplies:

- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, restroom supplies, and disposable items.

- Restock paper towels, toilet paper, soap, and other restroom essentials as needed.

- Inform management of any shortages or maintenance issues requiring attention.

Cleaning Equipment Maintenance:

- Clean and maintain cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, mops, and dusters.

- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management for repair or replacement.

Safety and Compliance:

- Follow proper safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling cleaning chemicals or operating equipment.

- Adhere to health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards, and sanitation guidelines at all times.

Window and Glass Cleaning:

- Clean windows, glass doors, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning solutions and tools.

- Remove fingerprints, smudges, and other marks to maintain a clear and streak-free appearance.

Collaboration and Communication:

- Communicate effectively with restaurant staff and management regarding cleaning priorities and tasks.

- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient cleaning and sanitation practices.

- Provide assistance and support during busy periods or special events as needed.

- Respond promptly to any cleaning emergencies or special cleaning needs as directed by management.

- Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.

Adherence to Policies:

- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.

- Participate in training programs and stay updated on industry trends.

Maintaining Confidentiality:

- Responsible to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information, including but not limited to company strategies, financial data, customer lists, and proprietary technologies.

Floor Maintenance:

- Thoroughness of floor cleaning, including sweeping and mopping, to maintain a safe and clean environment.

- Floor cleanliness ratings based on visual inspections or cleanliness audits.

- Floor drains are free from debris and well-maintained.

- Frequency of floor cleaning during and after shifts.

Trash Removal and Waste Management Efficiency:

- Efficiently removing trash, ensuring timely emptying of bins and proper disposal of waste.

- Frequency of overflowing or unsightly trash bins reported by staff or customers.

- Compliance with recycling policies, if applicable.

Cleaning and Sanitizing:

- Surfaces cleaned and sanitized according to schedule.

- Frequency of inspections revealing cleanliness issues or discrepancies.

- Customer satisfaction ratings related to restaurant cleanliness.

Restroom Cleaning & Maintenance:

- Compliance with restroom cleaning schedules and protocols.

- Number of complaints or issues related to restroom cleanliness.

- Restocking of restroom supplies are ensured.

Cleaning Equipment Maintenance:

- Compliance with equipment cleaning and storage protocols.

- Maintenance records indicating regular cleaning and upkeep of cleaning equipment.

- Number of equipment-related issues reported and resolved.

Safety and Compliance:

- Compliance with safety procedures and protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

- Adherence to health and safety regulations and sanitation guidelines.

- Number of safety hazards identified and addressed.

Communication and Collaboration:

- Feedback from restaurant staff regarding communication and collaboration with cleaning staff.

- Response time to cleaning requests and special cleaning needs.

- Effectiveness of communication regarding cleaning schedules and priorities.

Continuous Improvement:

- Implementation of suggestions for process improvements and efficiency enhancements.

- Training completion rates for new cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures.

- Observation of proactive measures taken to maintain cleanliness standards.

Attendance and Punctuality:

- Consistency in attendance and punctuality.

- Adherence to scheduled shifts.

Adherence to Policies:

- Adherence to company policies and procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
