Virtues that must be taught, practiced, and lived-out daily. Our program graduates will have received caring guidance and a firm foundation not only in academics, but in life and relational skills as well. Our goal is for each child to understand how much God loves them, how to love those around them, get a GREAT first “taste” of school, and a STRONG academic foundation to launch them into their learning years.

Children

In communication with the teacher, be responsible for teaching and guiding the children in the classroom, providing proper supervision, maintaining appropriate records, and communicating when necessary information to the teacher, students, parents, director, or authorities

Use personal experience to be responsible for the growth and maintenance of a rich spiritual atmosphere in the classroom, on the playground, and with children, employees, and parents

Give full attention to the class and be responsible for the safety and physical well-being of the children, never leaving them unsupervised. Interact with the children

Take children to the restroom and provide supervision and help in changing their clothes when necessary (another adult MUST be with you)

If a child becomes ill, isolate him/her and report the illness to the Assistant Teacher/Director

Guide children to wash their hands during the day, especially after art activities, before and after snack, and toileting

Classroom

Assist with advance preparation and cleanup. Include appropriate experiences in Bible, and all other subject areas

Request materials needed for projects and communicate to the Teacher/Director when supplies are depleted.

Participate in activities designed for parents such as parent conferences, open house, and other special programs as required by the director

Assist the teacher with the organization of materials and supplies, inventory equipment and supplies, and keep equipment in good repair

Staff

Attend devotions, staff meetings, workshops, and conferences

Set up conference times with the director in case of staff difficulties

Present yourself as a Christian professional in attitude, dress, and action at all times

Follow policies established by the Administration of the preschool

Cooperate with other employees to keep a happy, wholesome atmosphere

Physical Qualifications:

-Must be able to lift more than 50 lbs, kneel, run, and be able to physically attend to energetic toddlers.

-Must have excellent written and spoken English communication skills
