We are seeking talented, qualified and experienced Classroom Assistants to join our teaching team.
At Children’s House Montessori, the Classroom Assistant plays a vital role in understanding and promoting the nursery’s mission, vision, objectives and policies - both within the nursery and the wider community.
The Classroom Assistant supports the Montessori Educator by ensuring adherence to relevant policies, procedures and best practices, providing all children with access to high‑quality care and education.
Responsibilities

- Attend relevant training sessions aligned with your role and responsibilities
- Serve as a positive role model for children and colleagues
- Support Educators in all aspects of the daily classroom routine
- Uphold and promote the ethos and aims of the nursery
- Maintain the highest standards of quality in accordance with ministry requirements
- Adhere to all nursery policies and procedures
- Implement and enforce health and safety protocols as per ministry guidelines
- Liaise daily with Teachers regarding classroom routines and planning
- Participate in classroom meetings with Educators and the Nursery Director as required
- Follow the Montessori and EYFS curricula to meet the individual needs of each child
- Collaborate with your team to foster a positive and professional working environment
- Promote a stimulating and nurturing atmosphere for all children
- Assist the Educator in maintaining accurate, relevant and accessible care records for parents
- Communicate effectively with all members of the nursery team
- Ensure compliance with classroom ratio requirements and notify the Educator when additional support is needed
- Build strong, respectful relationships with children, parents and carers
- Contribute to a harmonious environment among staff, children and families
- Attend all in‑house nursery training sessions and monthly staff meetings
- Successful candidates must be available to join us on Monday 24 August 2026.
