Qualifications

  • Valid Class 1 driver's license. • Minimum of 2 years of safe tractor-trailer driving experience, shunting experience will be considered an asset. • Clean driver's abstract and criminal record check. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to safely lift up to 75 lbs. using appropriate equipment. • Strong attention to safety and operational procedures. • Reliable, dependable, and customer-focused.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently move, position, and manage trailers within the terminal yard and at assigned dock doors. • Conduct yard checks and equipment inspections, and monitor or refuel refrigerated units as required. • Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections in accordance with regulatory requirements. • Ensure company equipment is operated and maintained safely and responsibly. • Comply with all safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies. • Communicate effectively with Supervisors and Terminal staff to support efficient terminal operations. • Promptly report any incidents, injuries, equipment damage, or safety concerns. • Complete local Pick ups using a cube van as required to support operational needs.
