Qualifications

  • Education Required: High School or GED. • Class 1 driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years’ safe tractor driving experience required. • Clean driver’s abstract and criminal search. • Good communication skills. • Able to work in a fast-paced environment. • Able to lift to 50 lbs. using the proper equipment. • Excellent work ethic and reliability. • Safety conscious.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a tractor trailer safely and efficiently while performing regional runs throughout the Maritimes and shunting operations between the Tissue Plant, Master Packaging, and Midland yards. • Move equipment and freight in a safe, accurate, and timely manner while meeting operational requirements. • Complete all required pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections in accordance with legal and company requirements. • Refuel refrigerated units as required. • Maintain company equipment in accordance with established standards. • Communicate effectively with the Supervisor and dispatch team. • Report any incidents, accidents, injuries, or equipment damage immediately. • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
