Role overview

Site supervision duties

• Supervise daily civil works and inspect compliance with drawings, specifications, materials, workmanship, codes, and regulations.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, and technical submissions; coordinate clarifications.
• Identify non-conforming works, issue and follow up on NCRs and SORs, and monitor corrective actions.
• Monitor progress against the project programme, report updates, and identify delays, constraints, and technical issues.
• Attend project meetings and coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and other disciplines.
• Maintain inspection and site records; assist with snagging, testing, commissioning, handover, and close-out.
• Provide technical guidance and communicate with stakeholders to support quality execution of civil works.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of proven site-based Civil Engineering experience; GCC experience is mandatory and UAE experience is highly preferred.
• Registration with the Society of Engineers – UAE is required.
• At least Dubai Municipality G+4 Civil Engineer consultant classification is required; G+12 or G+Unlimited is preferred.
• G+4 holders must be prepared and eligible to undertake the Dubai Municipality examination for G+12 or G+Unlimited when required.
• Consultant-side site supervision experience is preferred.
• Practical experience with shop drawings, RFIs, NCRs, SORs, material submittals, inspections, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, specifications, quality control, and UAE/GCC site practices is required.
• Fluent written and spoken English; proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Relevant construction/project management software is an advantage.
• A valid UAE driving licence is required.
