Civil Project Engineer – Estimation & Site Execution

Role overview

Experience and education

• Requires at least 5 years of oil and gas site experience with direct civil-works responsibility and 3 years in building construction or maintenance; experience may overlap.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is preferred; diploma holders with substantial relevant experience are considered.

Technical qualifications

• Requires quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimates, quotations and unit-rate analysis, as well as drawing and specification interpretation and tender review.
• Requires practical knowledge of concrete, foundations, masonry, waterproofing, paving, kerbs, drainage, finishes, repair materials and construction methods.
• Requires proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel; Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 working knowledge is requested.
• Strong planning, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, leadership, coordination, written and spoken English, and technical reporting skills are requested.
• UAE/ADNOC experience is preferred; WMS certification is advantageous. A UAE driving licence and English and Hindi are listed as required.

Project delivery responsibilities

• Conduct surveys, measurements and condition assessments; prepare estimates and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Manage multiple projects, programmes, resources, procurement and subcontractors to meet safety, quality, cost and completion targets.
• Supervise foremen and workers and coordinate clients, consultants and disciplines, including work in occupied or operating facilities.
• Prepare material requisitions, method statements, risk assessments, inspection requests and permit-to-work documents; verify material datasheets and protect existing assets.
• Track progress, productivity, material consumption and actual versus estimated costs; resolve site issues and control overruns.
• Prepare progress reports, variations, measurement sheets, subcontractor payment assessments and client billing records.
• Complete snagging, as-built records and handover documentation.
