Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Civil & MEP QA/QC Engineer role based in Dubai.
The Civil & MEP QA/QC Engineer will monitor and inspect civil, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and quality standards.
Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing drawings and method statements, preparing and implementing inspection and test plans (ITPs), conducting site inspections, and documenting quality records and non-conformances.
The role also involves coordinating with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve quality issues and support timely project completion.
The engineer will contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues, recommending corrective actions, and supporting internal and external audits.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of civil engineering construction practices, including structural, architectural, and finishing works, with hands-on QA/QC experience on building or interior projects.
- Understanding of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting) and their integration with civil works, with exposure to QA/QC procedures for MEP installations.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, and technical documents; basic skills in MS Office and common project documentation tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline; additional certification in QA/QC, inspection, or ISO-based quality management is an advantage.
- 1–2 years of relevant QA/QC experience in civil and/or MEP works, preferably within turnkey, fit-out, or interior projects in the GCC.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation, and reporting skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams on site.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and adapt to a fast-paced project environment.
