Role Description
The Civil Foreman is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
This role is responsible for supervising field crews, coordinating daily site activities, and ensuring that work is carried out according to design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
The Civil Foreman monitors the use of labor, materials, and heavy equipment, resolves on-site issues, and reports progress to project engineers or site managers.
Daily tasks include assigning work, checking quality, enforcing safety procedures, and maintaining accurate records of work performed.
The role also involves collaborating with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to keep projects running efficiently and to address any technical or logistical challenges on site.
Qualifications
- Strong supervisory skills, including leading site crews, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance.
- Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operations, coordination, and basic troubleshooting on construction sites.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with workers, engineers, contractors, and clients.
- Practical knowledge of carpentry and structural works relevant to civil construction projects.
- Experience in routine maintenance of tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure safety and reliability.
- Previous experience as a civil foreman or similar site supervision role in infrastructure or building projects.
- Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and quality control standards.
- Understanding of occupational health and safety regulations and safe work practices.
- Diploma or technical qualification in civil engineering or construction management; a bachelor’s degree is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, including in outdoor and varying weather conditions.
