Civil Engineer

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor civil construction activities on site in accordance with project specifications and approved drawings.
• Assist the Resident Engineer in overseeing infrastructure construction works.
• Inspect works related to road networks and associated civil infrastructure.
• Monitor construction of stormwater drainage and sanitary sewage systems.
• Supervise works related to potable water networks and firefighting systems.
• Coordinate with electrical and mechanical teams for multi-utility infrastructure works.
• Ensure contractor compliance with approved method statements, drawings, and quality standards.
• Review contractor submissions including shop drawings and material submittals.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure proper construction practices.
• Assist in preparing site reports, inspection reports, and progress updates.
• Identify and report construction issues, non-conformances, and delays to the Resident Engineer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in infrastructure construction or supervision projects.
• Experience in roadworks and multi-utility infrastructure projects including water, sewage, stormwater, gas distribution, irrigation, and landscape works.
• Previous experience working with engineering consultancy firms in a supervision capacity is preferred.
• Good knowledge of construction methods, site supervision, and quality control procedures.
• Strong coordination, inspection, and reporting skills.
