Role overview
The Civil Engineer will oversee civil engineering projects, supervise site activities, and coordinate project stakeholders to support safe, timely, and cost-conscious delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor daily construction and civil engineering activities at project sites.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical documents; generate project BOQs and cost estimates.
- Ensure work complies with approved designs, project requirements, and applicable Qatar construction regulations.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project teams.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with quality standards and approved method statements.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Monitor material requirements, site resources, and construction costs.
- Assist with quantity take-offs, material requests, variation orders, and project documentation.
- Identify and resolve technical issues with relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain proper documentation, inspection records, and handover procedures.
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
- Relevant experience in civil engineering and construction projects.
- Good knowledge of construction methods, materials, drawings, and specifications.
- Familiarity with Qatar construction standards, local regulations, and site requirements.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; project planning software knowledge is an advantage.
- Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage site activities effectively.
- A valid Qatar driving licence is an advantage, depending on project requirements.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience working on construction projects in Qatar is preferred.
- Experience coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, and local authorities is preferred.
- Knowledge of quality assurance, quality control, and health and safety procedures is preferred.

- Work location is in person.
