Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Civil Engineer role based in Dubai.
The Civil Engineer will be responsible for designing and reviewing infrastructure project plans, including water chambers, pipelines, and related civil works, in accordance with DEWA and local regulatory standards.
Daily tasks include preparing technical drawings and specifications, conducting site inspections, monitoring construction activities, and ensuring that work meets quality, safety, and environmental requirements.
The role involves coordinating with project managers, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to align project schedules, resolve technical issues, and optimize design solutions.
The Civil Engineer will also assist with cost estimation, documentation, and reporting to support project delivery and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design, with the ability to develop and review infrastructure layouts and technical drawings.
- Experience working as Civil Engineers on infrastructure projects, preferably including water chamber, pipeline, or utility-related works.
- Skills in Planning and project coordination, including scheduling, resource allocation, and progress tracking for site activities.
- Knowledge of Stormwater Management principles and practices, including drainage design and compliance with local regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Familiarity with relevant UAE codes, DEWA standards, and infrastructure regulations.
- Proficiency in engineering and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D or equivalent) and basic project management tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site in a multicultural environment.
- Previous experience in UAE-based infrastructure projects is highly beneficial.
