Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Civil Engineer role based in the United Arab Emirates.
The Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, utilities, and site development.
Daily tasks include preparing and reviewing design drawings, calculations, and technical reports, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with local codes, standards, and client requirements.
The role involves managing stormwater and drainage systems, supporting site inspections, monitoring construction progress, and addressing technical issues in the field.
The Civil Engineer will also collaborate with project managers, contractors, and authorities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality and safety expectations.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and professional experience working as a Civil Engineer on infrastructure or land development projects.
- Proficiency in Civil Engineering Design, including preparation of drawings, calculations, and specifications for roads, utilities, and site layouts.
- Experience in Planning and coordination of project activities, schedules, and resources across design and construction phases.
- Knowledge of Stormwater Management principles, including drainage design, runoff analysis, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field; professional licensure or eligibility for registration is an advantage.
- Familiarity with engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar) and strong MS Office skills.
- Understanding of UAE building codes, standards, and permitting processes is highly desirable.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and work on-site as required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on quality and safety.
