Overview
We are seeking a
Cisco Network Engineer
to join our IT team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining Cisco-based network infrastructure across the organization.
This role requires a strong understanding of Cisco networking technologies, including routing, switching, security, and wireless systems, to ensure reliable and secure network performance.

- 🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain Cisco network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Implement and support network security policies using Cisco security devices and manage Cisco DNAC
- Monitor network performance using Cisco Prime, NetFlow, SNMP and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime
- Document network configurations, changes, and operational procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams for seamless infrastructure integration
- Provide on-call support for network-related incidents and ensure rapid resolution
- Stay updated with latest Cisco technologies and recommend improvements
- Assist in planning and executing network upgrades and expansions
- Vendor management, coordination and call logging
- Ensure network availability, performance, and security compliance
- 🎯 Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment (Cisco IOS, NX-OS, ASA)
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP)
- Experience in switching technologies (VLANs, STP, Layer 3 switching)
- Experience with Cisco security technologies (Firewall, IPS, Cisco ISE)
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Cisco Prime, SolarWinds, Nagios)
- Proficiency in CLI configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco devices
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
⭐ Preferred Certifications / Skills
- CCNP certification or higher preferred
- Experience with Cisco wireless technologies (Aironet, WLC, MSE)
- Knowledge of Cisco DNAC and SD-Access environments
- Experience in network automation (Ansible, Python, Puppet)
- Exposure to cloud networking and hybrid infrastructure
