Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Chiller Technician role based in Dubai The Chiller Technician will operate, maintain, and repair water-cooled and air-cooled chillers, including associated pumps, piping, and controls.
Daily responsibilities include performing preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults, and completing timely repairs to minimize downtime.
The role involves conducting system inspections, recording operational parameters, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
The Chiller Technician will also coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and clients, maintain accurate service documentation, and support after-hours or emergency call-outs as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in chiller operation, and maintenance in commercial or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, and mechanical equipment such as compressors, pumps, valves, and heat exchangers.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and equipment manuals.
- Familiarity with control systems, sensors, and basic electrical troubleshooting related to chillers and HVAC equipment.
- Understanding of safety procedures, lockout/tagout practices, and relevant industry and environmental regulations.
- Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team on-site.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with supervisors, colleagues, and clients, and for completing clear service reports.
- Vocational training, technical diploma, or equivalent certification in HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, or electromechanical engineering.
- Previous experience in the UAE or GCC and a valid UAE driving license are preferred.
- Willingness to work on-site in Abu Dhabi, including occasional overtime, weekends, or emergency call-outs when required.
