Role description
Lead the design and governance of APML’s overall security architecture.
Ensure systems, applications, and networks are secure and aligned with best practices.
This is a part-time hybrid role in Abu Dhabi Emirate, with onsite presence and work-from-home flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Define security standards and review technical designs.
- Conduct risk assessments and advise project teams on secure solutions.
- Collaborate with IT, operations, and leadership to establish security frameworks.
- Oversee implementation of controls and support incident response planning.
- Track emerging threats and technologies and recommend strategic security improvements.
Qualifications
- Strong security architecture design capabilities, including frameworks, patterns, and reference architectures.
- Applied application security expertise, including secure development practices, code review guidance, and threat modeling.
- Hands-on cybersecurity experience with risk assessment, vulnerability management, and incident response support.
- Proficiency in network security, including segmentation, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, and secure connectivity.
- Foundation in information security policies, standards, governance, and relevant regulatory compliance.
- Experience leading security initiatives in complex or distributed environments; prior architectural or lead security work is preferred.
- Communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and document security designs and guidelines.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, or CCSP are advantageous.
- Comfort collaborating across remote and onsite teams in a multicultural hybrid setup.
