Role overview
Chief Security Architect is a part-time, hybrid role based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, with flexibility for partial work from home.
The role owns security architecture for PW Skills’ technology platforms, applications, and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain security architecture; assess security posture and design secure systems and applications.
- Set cybersecurity and information protection standards and integrate security requirements into project lifecycles.
- Partner with engineering, product, and IT teams; conduct threat modeling and risk assessments.
- Oversee security reviews of solutions and vendor integrations; lead governance initiatives and support incident response planning.
- Advise on regulatory and compliance obligations and mentor technical teams on security-by-design.
Qualifications
- Strong security architecture, application security, cybersecurity, information security, and network security skills.
- Extensive experience in a senior security architecture or equivalent leadership role; technology or digital education experience is preferred.
- Understand cloud platforms, identity and access management, encryption, and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills; able to influence technical and non-technical teams.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred certifications
- CISSP, CISM, or SABSA certification is highly beneficial; equivalent practical experience is also accepted.
Work arrangement
- Part-time hybrid position based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, with flexibility for partial work from home.
