About This Role

Role Overview

1.

Our client is seeking a results-oriented and strategically minded Chief Sales Officer to lead national sales performance, dealer network effectiveness, and commercial growth initiatives across passenger vehicles and mobility solutions.

2.

The CSO will play a critical role in shaping sales strategy, strengthening customer engagement models, and ensuring the organization achieves ambitious market share and profitability targets in a competitive and rapidly evolving automotive landscape.

Key Responsibilities

1.

Develop and execute national sales strategy aligned with corporate growth objectives

2.

Lead annual sales planning, forecasting, and target-setting processes

3.

Monitor performance against KPIs and implement corrective action plans where required

4.

Drive profitability optimization through pricing strategy, mix management, and incentive frameworks

5.

Oversee dealer network strategy including expansion, restructuring, and performance governance

6.

Establish clear standards for retail excellence, showroom performance, and sales processes

7.

Strengthen collaboration between importer functions and dealer partners

8.

Support digital retail initiatives and omnichannel customer journey enhancements

9.

Develop national fleet strategy and strengthen relationships with corporate and government clients

10.

Identify new commercial opportunities across leasing, mobility services, and strategic partnerships

11.

Enhance key account management frameworks and customer retention initiatives

12.

Monitor customer satisfaction indicators and implement continuous improvement initiatives

13.

Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments

14.

Lead product launch planning and market introduction strategies

15.

Build and lead a high-performing sales leadership structure

16.

Develop talent pipelines, succession planning, and capability development programs

17.

Foster a performance-driven culture focused on accountability and customer value

Requirements

1. 12–18+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in automotive distribution or OEM sales organizations

2.

Proven experience managing large dealer networks and national sales teams

3.

Strong commercial acumen with track record of delivering revenue growth and margin improvement

4.

Experience

in fleet sales, channel management, and market expansion strategies

5.

Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills

6.

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent qualification advantageous
