Role description
The Chief Risk Officer role at ROUNDB Group is part-time and hybrid, based in Abu Dhabi, with some flexibility to work from home.
The CRO leads the enterprise-wide risk management framework and advises senior leadership on risk appetite and strategy.
Core responsibilities
- Identify, monitor, and mitigate financial and non-financial risks; review risk reports and dashboards.
- Assess credit and market risk exposures and challenge business assumptions.
- Develop risk policies with finance, operations, and business units, and support risk-aware decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.
- Prepare executive and board risk updates, lead risk assessments for new initiatives, and improve risk methodologies and processes.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience in a senior risk leadership role in financial services, investment, or a corporate environment.
- Strong enterprise risk management, credit risk, market risk, finance, and analytical skills.
- Advanced degree in finance, economics, risk management, or a related field.
- FRM, PRM, or CFA certifications are advantageous.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management; able to present complex risk issues to executives and boards.
- Able to work in a hybrid setting, manage time, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
