Role Overview
The role reports directly to the Head of Finance, KSA.
The candidate is expected to be the main registered finance contact point with SAMA.
The role requires solid banking and markets finance experience.
Core Responsibilities
- Liaise with SAMA as the main banking regulator contact point.
- Manage external and internal audits and resolve audit issues efficiently.
- Manage regulatory and taxation returns, including monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns.
- Validate and control month-end revenue and cost bookings.
- Coordinate with front-office, operational, and management teams in Riyadh to ensure bookings are complete and accurate.
- Facilitate month-end balance sheet substantiation as the secondary Finance owner.
- Ensure appropriate internal controls with business management and infrastructure functions.
- Assist with New Product Approval risk-assessment checklists.
- Provide onshore KSA coverage for other core Finance roles as directed.
Experience and Competencies
- Most communication and submissions to the regulator are in Arabic, so fluency in spoken and written Arabic is required.
- The role requires experience in an international or large domestic banking or securities environment.
- Strong product accounting knowledge for vanilla markets and banking products is required.
- The role requires the ability to analyse and communicate risks inherent in operational or product booking situations.
