Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on, commercially astute **CFO / Finance Manager** to oversee our complete financial operations in Dubai.

In this role, you will lead day-to-day accounting, manage trade finance instruments (LCs, Escrow, Bank Guarantees), ensure local VAT compliance, and provide financial clarity to direct the company’s regional growth.

This is an active, operational role requiring strong grit in the fast-paced Deira wholesale and global trading landscape.

Key Responsibilities

**Financial Control:** Oversee all accounting operations, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger bookkeeping, and month-end/year-end closing procedures.
**Accrual Accounting:** Maintain and update monthly accrual schedules for pending shipping freights, customs clearing duties, port demurrage, and unbilled supplier deliveries to ensure true matching of revenues and expenses.
**Trade Finance:** Manage letters of credit (LCs), structured trade finance, and foreign exchange (FX) risks associated with international commodity shipments.
**Cash Flow Management:** Monitor daily cash flows, optimize working capital, and maintain strong relationships with local UAE corporate banking partners.
**Compliance & Tax:** Handle accurate preparation and filing of UAE VAT returns, ensure compliance with Corporate Tax regulations, and coordinate audits.
**Reporting:** Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements, margin analyses by product line, and budget variance reports for top management.
**Inventory & Costing:** Work closely with the logistics team to audit warehouse inventory values, analyze landing costs, and monitor supply chain expenditures.

Qualifications & Requirements

**Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics. Professional qualifications like CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CA are highly preferred.
**Experience:** Minimum 4–6 years of stable experience in the UAE, specifically within a **General Trading, Import/Export, or Commodity Trading** business model.
**Skills:**
Deep understanding of trade documentation (Bill of Lading, LC mechanisms, shipping terms/Incoterms).
Proficiency in enterprise accounting software (Tally Prime, QuickBooks, or specialized ERP systems).
Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, cash flow modeling).
**Language:** Fluent in written and spoken English. Proficiency in Hindi/Urdu/Arabic is an added advantage given our vendor/client demographics.
**Location Preference:** Must be willing to work on-site at our corporate office/showroom in the Al Ras area, Deira.

Monthly Salary: AED 8,000 – AED 9,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications).
