Role Description
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing Axe AI’s financial strategy, operations, and reporting.
This role will lead budgeting and forecasting, manage financial planning processes, and provide data-driven insights to support executive decision-making and long-term growth.
The CFO will own financial statements and reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery to stakeholders and potential investors.
Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring cash flow, optimizing capital structure, supporting fundraising activities, and partnering with cross-functional leaders on pricing, resource allocation, and strategic initiatives.
The CFO will also establish and refine internal controls, financial systems, and performance metrics appropriate for a fast-growing AI technology company.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Finance and Financial Planning skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial modeling.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, with a track record of accurate, compliant, and timely reporting.
- Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, develop insights, and support executive and board-level decisions.
- Proficiency with modern financial tools and systems, and experience implementing scalable processes in a high-growth or startup environment.
- Demonstrated experience in senior finance leadership, ideally as a CFO or VP Finance in technology or SaaS companies.
- Proven ability to support fundraising, investor relations, and capital allocation decisions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a distributed, remote-first organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA) or professional certification (CPA, CFA) is an advantage.
