Role Description
The Chief Business Officer (CBO) at Zenlynx Technology is a full-time, on-site role based in Bhubaneswar, responsible for leading overall business strategy, growth, and commercial execution.
The CBO will define and drive go-to-market plans for the ZenX platform, oversee business development, sales, and partnerships, and align these with the company’s sustainability and climate intelligence mission.
This role will involve building and managing high-performing commercial and strategy teams, setting revenue targets, monitoring performance metrics, and refining business models to support scalable growth.
The CBO will collaborate closely with product, technology, and customer success teams to ensure market feedback informs product roadmaps and to enhance client value.
Daily responsibilities include engaging with enterprise clients and strategic partners, leading key negotiations, representing Zenlynx in external forums, and ensuring strong governance, financial discipline, and operational effectiveness across business functions.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex business, financial, and sustainability data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Deep experience in finance, including budgeting, forecasting, revenue modeling, and financial oversight for growth-stage or technology-driven organizations.
- Proven track record in business development, including building pipelines, managing enterprise sales cycles, and establishing strategic partnerships.
- Background in consulting or management consulting, preferably in sustainability, climate, technology, or enterprise solutions, with exposure to C-level stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams, setting strategic direction, and driving accountability for results.
- Familiarity with ESG, sustainability, climate risk, or related regulatory and reporting frameworks is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to represent the organization in executive and public forums.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, engineering, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
