Chief Accountant

Job summary

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger and accounts payable.
• Monitor company cash flow, financial controls, and petty cash.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Coordinate with auditors and banks.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, variance analyses, and management reports.
• Ensure financial records and reports are accurate and timely.
• Support management with financial analysis and accounting-related matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience in financial closing, budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Qatar experience is preferred.
