Role overview
A Chemistry Lab Assistant supports chemists, researchers, or instructors by preparing solutions, maintaining equipment, and keeping the laboratory safe and organized.
Responsibilities
- Mix chemical reagents, prepare standard solutions, and set up glassware and instrumentation for experiments or student labs.
- Enforce safety guidelines, dispose of hazardous and biohazardous waste properly, and comply with chemical hygiene plans.
- Wash, dry, and sterilize glassware; clean workstations; and maintain or calibrate laboratory equipment.
- Monitor chemical and supply stock, order materials, and organize storage areas.
- Log data, document test findings, and manage inventory or safety sheets under senior staff supervision.
Compensation
- Pay is ₹20,000–₹30,000 per month.
Workplace
- Work location is in person.
