Responsibilities
- Work with the team to prepare high-quality dishes and ensure that all food is prepared in a timely and efficient manner
- Assist in the preparation of mise en place for all dishes
- Follow recipes and procedures accurately to ensure consistent quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines and ensure that all equipment is clean and well-maintained
- Monitor inventory levels and notify the chef of any shortages
- Perform other duties as assigned by the chef or management team
- Prepare a variety of dishes such as curries, tandoori, biryani, and naan bread
- Assist in the preparation of spice blends and masalas
- Ensure that all dishes are cooked to the appropriate level of spice and flavor
- Help to create new dishes in collaboration with the chef
- Prepare chutneys, pickles, and other accompaniments to the dishes
- Maintain knowledge of ingredients and their uses in cooking
- Work with the team to ensure that all dishes are presented beautifully and in a timely manner
- Help to train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and recipes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
- Ensure that all equipment used in cooking is clean and well-maintained
Requirements
- At least 2 year of experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow recipes and procedures accurately
- Attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and grow as a chef
- Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED2,200.00 per month
