Kitchen responsibilities
- Prepare special meals or substitute items, prepare cold foods, and cook according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and checklists.
- Operate ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters; thaw frozen food in refrigeration; ensure correct portions, arrangement, and garnish.
- Maintain food logs and monitor food quality and quantity; communicate busy-period assistance needs and inform the Chef about excess food for daily specials.
- Tell Food and Beverage service staff about menu specials and unavailable items.
Team and workplace responsibilities
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching; serve as a role model.
- Follow company and safety policies, complete safety training, and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and meet quality standards.
- Anticipate guest needs, communicate professionally, build positive working relationships, and support team goals.
- Work requires extended standing, sitting, or walking and reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, and moving items up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications and other details
- At least three years of related work experience is preferred.
- A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
- No supervisory experience or license or certification is specified.
