Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Chef De Partie role based at Shanasheel Restaurant in Dubai.

The Chef De Partie will manage a specific kitchen section, ensuring preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes meet the restaurant’s quality and consistency standards.

Responsibilities include organizing mise en place, following recipes and portion guidelines, maintaining food safety and hygiene, and coordinating with other kitchen team members during service.

The role involves training and guiding junior staff, monitoring stock levels, assisting with menu development, and supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in day-to-day operations.

The Chef De Partie is expected to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating within at least one kitchen section (e.g., hot kitchen, cold kitchen, grill, pastry).
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and best practices for kitchen cleanliness and organization.
  • Experience in coordinating with kitchen teams, communicating clearly, and managing time effectively during busy service periods.
  • Ability to train, mentor, and support junior culinary staff while maintaining a respectful and inclusive work environment.
  • Prior experience as a Chef De Partie or Demi Chef De Partie in a restaurant or hotel kitchen; exposure to Middle Eastern or international cuisine is an advantage.
  • Culinary diploma or equivalent professional training is preferred, along with basic computer literacy for inventory or ordering systems.
  • Capacity to work on-site in Dubai, adapt to shift work, and handle the physical demands of a high-volume kitchen.
  • Professional attitude, reliability, and a commitment to guest satisfaction and continuous improvement.
