Position Overview
South Mill Champs Mushrooms is seeking an experienced HR Manager for its Champs Aldergrove Facility.
The HR Manager implements HR strategy and supports employee engagement, retention, productivity, product quality, safe work practices, and regulatory compliance.
The role reports to the Director of Human Resources, manages day-to-day HR operations, and leads three HR personnel roles.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Lead employee relations, total compensation, recruitment and selection, and performance management.
- Implement HR strategies and practices that support the company’s strategic direction and a high-performance culture.
- Improve HR practices and processes while supporting managers and employees through change.
- Resolve workplace and people issues using problem-solving, analytical, facilitation, and coaching skills.
- Integrate knowledge of company operations, structure, and positions into HR planning and initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Relevant HR degree or diploma plus at least five years of HR management or senior HR advisor-level experience.
- Experience in the food manufacturing industry and in a culturally diverse work environment.
- Fluency with Windows, Microsoft Office, and HR information systems.
- Knowledge of current best-practice HR approaches and their application to HR strategy, policies, processes, and practices.
- Up-to-date knowledge of British Columbia employment, human rights, privacy, labour relations, and workers’ compensation legislation.
Additional Qualifications
- Ability to drive results and gain manager and employee support for new HR initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, facilitation, coaching, and resourcefulness skills.
- CHRP designation is an asset.
- Knowledge of hiring under the Agricultural stream is desirable but not essential.
Schedule
- The schedule is Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

The position supports a multi-site operation in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia.
