Solu

Solu is an AI-powered women's wellness platform built for the MENA market.

We sync nutrition, movement, and lifestyle guidance with each woman's hormonal cycle, delivering truly personalised health, not generic advice.

We're live on the Apple App Store and Google Play, backed by Dubai Government Innovation recognition, and currently raising a $500,000 angel round via SAFE Note ahead of a full product launch in Q4 2026.

The Seed round ($1.5–2M) follows in 2027.

The team includes seasoned operators across product, tech, UX, women's health, and marketing.

What we're missing is a finance leader who can make this business irresistible to investors.

The Role

This is not a back-office finance role.

You will be the person who takes everything we've built — the product, the market opportunity, the team — and translates it into a financial narrative that closes rounds.

You'll own two things: the numbers and the relationships.

On the finance side, you'll build the model from the ground up: unit economics, revenue projections, cost structure, valuation methodology, and a line-item budget that stands up to scrutiny from investors with finance backgrounds.

You'll replace assumptions with defensible figures.

On the investor side, you'll activate your network, manage the pipeline, and drive us to close the current $500K angel round by August 25, 2026 — then position Solu for a $1.5–2M Seed in 2027.

What You'Ll Own

  • Financial modelling & strategy
  • Build and maintain Solu's full financial model: P&L, cash flow, burn rate, and unit economics
  • Develop a defensible pre-revenue valuation framework backed by comparable transactions and market data
  • Produce a granular budget breakdown for the $500K raise — line by line, category by category
  • Separate and define Ops vs Legal allocations; ensure legal sits at no more than 2% of the raise
  • Stress-test projections across conservative, base, and optimistic scenarios
  • Own all financial slides in the investor deck — no "projected to" language; confident, specific, backed
  • Investor relations & fundraising
  • Lead the close of the current $500K angel round (SAFE Note, August 25, 2026 target)
  • Build and manage the investor CRM pipeline — outreach, follow-up, and conversion
  • Activate your personal network of angels, family offices, and early-stage investors relevant to healthtech, femtech, and MENA
  • Prepare and coach Gerald for investor meetings — anticipated questions, objection handling, financial Q&A
  • Manage all investor communications post-commitment through to Seed
  • Lead preparation for the 2027 Seed round from day one

Risk & Compliance (Financial)

  • Identify and document known financial risks, known unknowns, and structural vulnerabilities
  • Ensure the funding structure (SAFE Note terms, valuation cap, discount rate, ESOP) is airtight
  • Work alongside CTO on regulatory cost implications as DHA/MOH engagement progresses
  • Build a financial risk mitigation narrative for investor presentations

What We'Re Looking For

  • Proven track record of closing funding rounds at the angel or seed stage inside a startup:

  • An active network of investors you can call on: angels, family offices, early-stage VCs with MENA or healthtech exposure
  • Strong financial modelling skills — you can build from scratch, not just maintain someone else's model
  • Experience with SAFE Notes, convertible instruments, and early-stage valuation methodologies
  • Ability to translate complex financials into compelling investor narratives
  • Based in or with strong ties to the UAE / GCC ecosystem preferred
  • Healthtech, femtech, or consumer app experience is a strong plus
  • You're hungry: your upside is tied directly to Solu's success

Compensation

  • This is an equity-only role structured for someone who believes in the outcome.
  • 0.5% equity in Solu (same structure as the rest of the founding team, same vesting terms)
  • 2% success fee on all capital raised through your efforts
  • Salary triggers at the Seed round alongside the rest of the team
  • On a $500K angel close, the success fee is $10,000.
  • On a $2M Seed, it's $40,000.
  • On exit, your equity stake participates fully in the upside.
