Certified Respiratory Therapist

• Certified Respiratory Therapist accepted Registered Respiratory Therapist PreferredDEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION To work with the ICU/CCU/ED/MED/SURG personnel to provide responsive state of the art respiratory care. To work with the same personnel in the development and implementation of patient centered care. To work in a cooperative and supportive manner with Physicians, Staff, and Directors of the ICU/CCU/ED/MED/SURG Units and Respiratory Therapy to achieve that goal.
• To work with the ICU/CCU/ED/MED/SURG personnel to provide responsive state of the art respiratory care. • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)

Six months Staff Therapist experience preferred but not required.

Education and Training: Graduate of AMA approved program of Respiratory Therapy at the Certification level.

On a yearly basis meet all hospital mandatory education requirements.

License, Certification & Registration: MARTL - MA Respiratory Therapist license NBRC-CRT-National Board Respiratory Care CRT CPR Other Requirements: Highly effective and positive interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

Effective problem solving, team building skills, willingness to participate in the education process both as a student and provider of education.

Ability to vary shift hours and days to meet schedule needs.

• Experience: Six months Staff Therapist experience preferred but not required.
