Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant program
  • NCCAA certification required
  • Eligible for Florida licensure
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • New graduates and experienced CAAs are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • 195-bed acute care hospital
  • Advanced surgical services including orthopedics, spine, general surgery, GI, OB/GYN, and robotics
  • Collegial team culture with strong physician and administrative support
  • 536-bed tertiary care facility
  • High-acuity cases including cardiovascular, neuro, trauma, and comprehensive surgical services
  • Teaching opportunities and diverse case mix
  • CAAs work in a medically directed anesthesia care team model alongside anesthesiologists and CRNAs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of anesthesia care plans
  • Perform pre-anesthetic assessments and evaluations
  • Administer and maintain anesthesia under anesthesiologist direction
  • Monitor patients intraoperatively and postoperatively
  • Participate in patient safety and quality initiatives
