Role overview

Join Worldpay's Enterprise Customer Due Diligence team as a CDD Operations Analyst focused on onboarding and ongoing enterprise-customer reviews.

The role combines risk-based due diligence, screening, monitoring, case quality and stakeholder guidance.

Due diligence and screening

  • Review new enterprise customers, including ownership structures, ultimate beneficial owners and source of wealth or funds.
  • Collect, verify and analyse documents and information from public registries, company filings, financial databases and other sources.
  • Prepare reports with findings, associated risks and recommendations.
  • Assess politically exposed persons, potential sanctions matches and adverse media; identify and escalate financial-crime concerns through resolution.

Ongoing monitoring

  • Conduct periodic reviews and trigger-event reviews after ownership changes, unusual account activity, negative media developments or revised risk indicators.
  • Reassess customer information against regulatory and internal standards; escalate deteriorating risk profiles and discrepancies.
  • Keep clear, accurate records to support audit and regulatory scrutiny.

Quality and stakeholder work

  • Maintain accurate, complete and auditable reviews; track cases, remove blockers and meet SLAs without compromising risk standards.
  • Recommend improvements to processes, controls, documentation standards and workflow efficiency.
  • Work with Business Development, Relationship Managers, Compliance, Audit and other control teams; provide practical guidance on requirements, timelines and risks.

Industry knowledge and training

  • Stay current with developments, risks, regulations and best practices in AML, CDD/EDD, sanctions and financial-crime compliance.
  • Participate in training and workshops and share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Support governance and adoption of AI-driven screening optimisation, entity resolution or risk-scoring tools.

Required experience and capabilities

  • At least 3 years in CDD, KYC, AML or financial-crime compliance within financial services, payments or another regulated industry.
  • Proficiency in PEP, sanctions and adverse-media screening and risk assessment.
  • Analytical investigation, case-management, communication and stakeholder-influencing skills.
  • Attention to detail, sound judgement, ability to balance efficiency with quality, and ability to work independently and collaboratively to deadlines.

Bonus qualifications and experience

  • Working toward or committed to obtaining a qualification such as ICA Certificate in AML or ACAMS is a bonus.
  • Merchant acquiring, fintech compliance or correspondent banking experience is a bonus.
  • Knowledge of global frameworks such as FCA, FinCEN, MAS, HKMA or EU frameworks is a bonus.

Risk approach

  • Apply a risk-based approach while balancing strong controls with a positive customer onboarding experience.
  • Use sound judgement to communicate due-diligence requirements and support controlled onboarding.
