Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV across guest areas, back-of-house facilities, entrances, exits, parking areas, and colleague accommodation where applicable.
• Identify suspicious activity, security breaches, hazards, and unusual incidents; report them promptly to security supervisors or managers.
• Monitor access control and report unauthorized entry or suspicious movement in restricted areas.
• Respond to alerts, alarms, and assistance requests in coordination with security and other departments.
• Document incidents, review and retrieve footage for authorized requests, and maintain accurate incident, fault, and shift-handover logs.
• Maintain confidentiality of footage and security records; comply with hotel security procedures and applicable privacy requirements.
• Check equipment functionality and report faults, camera blind spots, and recording failures to security and technical support.
• Assist authorized investigations and support emergency response during alarms, evacuations, medical emergencies, and other critical situations.
• Attend departmental briefings, training, and security meetings; perform other reasonable assigned duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in CCTV monitoring, security operations, or a similar role; hotel or hospitality experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of CCTV surveillance systems, video recording equipment, and access-control systems.
• Basic computer skills and ability to operate security monitoring software.
• Good spoken and written English; additional languages are advantageous.
• Knowledge of security procedures, incident reporting, and emergency response protocols.
• Relevant UAE security training or licensing where required by applicable regulations.

Work setting

• The role monitors surveillance systems throughout the Fairmont Ajman hotel and its premises.
