Category Specialist - 7 Months Contract Role

We are currently seeking a Category Specialist - 7 Months Contract Role for one of our very well-known client, to be based in their Dubai office.

Job Purpose:

• The Associate Specialist will support execution of strategic and operational sourcing initiatives. He will support Category Manager across the strategic sourcing cycle.
• He/ she will help in gathering and collating supply market information, preparing RFP documents, collate clarifications from suppliers. He will also co-lead the tactical sourcing/ spot buys with Category Manager.

Job Description:

• Support Category L3 and Category L4 resources in executing category sourcing initiatives by compiling supply market information, preparing RFP documents, collating clarifications from supplier to enable timely and efficient execution of strategic sourcing process.
• Execute tactical sourcing/ spot buys with minimal support of Category Managers for purchases of AED 5k and below, ensure compliance to PR to PO cycle time, tactical sourcing process and on time delivery KPIs.
• Recommend suppliers based on the evaluations and negotiations for tactical purchases and submit for approval as per delegation of authority.
• Negotiate with suppliers and obtain approval of finalized contracts / purchase orders as per the approved delegation of authority.
• Set up contracts and Complex PO for strategic sourcing initiatives (as required) in Oracle
• Release PO for operational sourcing and expedite delivery.

Job Skills:

• The job holder will have knowledge of ERP systems(preferably Oracle), and Advanced Excel. Industry knowledge of relevant categories is preferable.
