As we continue to expand, we are seeking a

Category Manager - Mahally.

As Category Manager, you own what gets featured, analyze what's selling, curate the best products, build the lists for every major campaign, and work with marketing and growth teams closely on campaigns.

Your decisions directly impact GMV.

You Will

  • Build product lists for Ramadan, White Friday, National Day, Eids, Back to School, seasonal campaigns
  • Curate top-performing products from Salla merchants to feature
  • Spot winning products and merchants, improve listing health overall
  • Coordinate with marketing & growth to push campaigns
  • Analyze category performance, identify trends, opportunities, gaps
  • Monitor competitor marketplaces and adapt strategy
  • Own key traffic drivers for your category (Search, Email, SEO, Affiliates)
  • Work with CRM team on email segmentation, targeting, product lists

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years in category management or marketplace operations on large-scale eCommerce platforms, with a proven ability to drive category performance and GMV growth
  • SKU Management: Experience managing 50,000+ SKUs, including curating top-performing products, maintaining listing quality, and optimizing product visibility for campaigns
  • Data & Analytics: Proficiency in SQL for extracting and analyzing your own data, with experience using analytics/BI tools such as Metabase, Looker, or equivalent. Able to generate insights to inform category decisions
  • Traffic & Marketing: Demonstrated knowledge of key traffic-driving mechanisms, including Search, Email, SEO, and Affiliates, and ability to coordinate campaigns with marketing and growth teams to maximize engagement and GMV
  • Consumer & Market Insight: Strong understanding of consumer behavior and market dynamics, with the ability to analyze category performance, identify trends, opportunities, and gaps, and adapt strategies based on competitor activity
  • Language: Proficiency in both Arabic and English, spoken and written
