Position Overview:
Developing category strategies, defining 4Ps tactics, and managing the category P&L to achieve targets across different channels.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement category strategies and tactical plans (assortment, pricing, promotions, and space management)
- Drive category performance across revenue, profitability, and inventory optimization
- Manage assortment lifecycle including new listings, delisting, and private label opportunities
- Lead planogram and merchandising initiatives to enhance customer experience and sales
- Support financial planning including sales forecasting, phasing, and margin management (front & back)
- Optimize inventory levels and lead clearance activities for slow-moving and delisted items
- Build and manage strong vendor relationships, including Joint Business Plans (JBP) and negotiations
- Monitor category performance, identify gaps, and execute corrective action plans
- Conduct market intelligence activities (store visits, competitor analysis, market trends, customer insights) to support decision-making
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Pharmacy, or related
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Category Manager in retail (pharmacy or FMCG is a plus)
- Strong understanding of category management principles and 4Ps strategy
- Proven experience in managing P&L, sales forecasting, and margin optimization
- Experience in vendor management and negotiation
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Hands-on experience in assortment planning and inventory management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
