Overview

At TCC Global, we create innovative loyalty marketing solutions that drive engagement and drive commercial performance for global retailers and brands.

As Category Manager, you own your portfolio across

Storage & Hydration, Small Domestic Appliances (SDA), and Electronics

.

You spot the opportunities, build the case for them, and bring them to life — from first spark of an idea through to approved prototype and on to launch.

You're the heart and soul of your category: driving for what's right, backing what you believe in, and being the voice of "why" behind every range we put in front of clients.

The Portfolio

You own the shape and direction of your category portfolio.

That means analysing what our major accounts need today and where their business is heading tomorrow — then building a portfolio that supports it.

You find the gaps and build to fill them, ensuring a constant flow of relevant, compelling solutions at the right price points.

Opportunities — Found and Delivered

You don't wait for briefs to land.

You identify opportunities through market insight, trend analysis, competitor monitoring, and time spent with our global sales teams understanding clients and shoppers in each region.

Then you bring those opportunities to life: owning the development phase from brief through to silver seal (approved prototype), staying hands-on all the way to launch — design briefs, sourcing briefs, samples, approvals, packaging, and submission-ready products.

Brand Partnerships

You work closely with our existing brand partners — and help identify new ones — to ensure every partnership is fruitful.

The right brand, on the right product, at the right moment, makes a range fly.

You make sure we get that combination right, partnering with the Brand Manager on approvals and samples along the way.

The Story

A great range deserves a great story.

You're the voice of "why" when presenting solutions to our internal sales teams — arming them with the insight, conviction, and narrative that gives every range the best possible chance of resonating when it reaches clients.

Eyes and Ears in the Market

On factory visits and at trade shows, you're our eyes and ears.

You understand who's making what, where, and what suppliers are working on next — so we stay ahead of trends and harness the latest methods and materials to amaze customers.

You feed what you see back into the portfolio, keeping us one step in front.

The Detail

Great execution lives in the detail.

You keep documentation accurate and audit-ready, maintain range data, manage NPD timelines, flag cost risks early, and work with the Sourcing Manager to strike the best balance of cost and perceived value.

You coordinate across Sourcing, Supply Chain, Quality, Sustainability, Creative, and Design — managing global time zones and communication nuances so everyone stays aligned.

This is a role for a product person.

Someone who genuinely loves product — who picks things up in shops to see how they're made, who asks why something works and how it could be better, and who gets a kick out of seeing an idea they championed land on shelf and resonate with shoppers.

Must-Haves (Non-Negotiable)

  • 5+ years' experience in Product Development, Category Management, Buying, Design, or a related role.
  • Proven ownership of product development projects from brief to launch, including NPD.
  • A good read on the global retail market and where it's heading, with the ability to translate market, consumer, and competitor insights into recommendations.
  • Experience working within Storage & Hydration, Small Domestic Appliances (SDA), Electronics, Cookware, Kitchenware, Home Products, or similar consumer product categories. Experience in other categories will also be considered.
  • Experience working with suppliers and manufacturers throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and projects involving Design, Sourcing, Quality, Sustainability, Sales, and Brand teams.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • High level of ownership, attention to detail, and execution focus.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis, including pricing, cost, and range analysis.
  • Fluent English
  • Willingness to travel for factory visits, supplier meetings, and international trade shows.

Nice-To-Haves

  • Experience within retail, FMCG, consumer products, or loyalty marketing
  • Exposure to international markets and global product development.
  • A design or creative background
  • Mandarin is a plus.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and annual bonus.
  • Opportunities for growth and professional development.
  • A dynamic and supportive work environment where your ideas truly matter.
  • Hybrid working model.
  • TCC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
  • All applicants will be considered without distinction of age, culture, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity, or disability status.
