- What you’ll do
- Step into a role where your passion for fresh food takes center stage.
- We are seeking a dynamic Category Manager to partner seamlessly with our in-store operations teams, turning our commercial strategy into exceptional retail experiences.
- A collaborative leader driven to champion local produce and deliver the absolute best of Australian fresh straight to our customers.
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate mutually beneficial agreements that align with customer needs and commercial objectives.
- Develop and execute category plans that provide a clear roadmap for supply partners, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment.
- Drive sales growth and profit improvement by implementing strategic category initiatives that optimise product offerings and merchandising strategies.
- Identify and capitalise on opportunities that enhance customer satisfaction, streamline store operations, and reduce costs for Woolworths.
- Continuously evaluate supplier capabilities, proactively seek new partnerships, and cultivate existing relationships to secure long-term competitive advantage.
- What you’ll bring
- Strong financial and category management skills
- Passion for leading, coaching and developing team
- Demonstrated strong partnership skills working cross functionally with multiple stakeholders across the group and suppliers
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing customer-focused category plans aligned with the divisional strategy and supported by sound commercial insights and data.
- Strong negotiation and influence skills with cross-functional and external stakeholders at all levels of the business.
