About the Role

Responsibilities

• :
• Strategically plan and execute the product mix for the FMCG & Fresh categories for the Discount store concept.
• Identify high-performing products and develop "exit strategies" for underperforming or less profitable items.
• Maintain an "assortment mix" to ensure the right balance of brand-name and private-label products, as well as new brands.
• Establish and maintain long-term partnerships with direct distributors and wholesalers to secure the best pricing and quality.
• Lead complex negotiations regarding vendor terms and promotions.
• Continuously source new suppliers both domestically and internationally to drive innovation and cost savings.
• Set competitive retail prices and markdowns to achieve budgeted gross profit margins while maintaining a "discount" value proposition.
• Monitor competitor pricing and market trends daily to adjust strategies accordingly.
• Develop and manage the yearly category budget, sales targets, and revenue goals.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to design and execute promotional calendars and in-store marketing materials.
• Optimize in-store product visibility through planograms, shelf layouts, and effective visual merchandising (e.g., brand blocking, signage).
