The Category Head will lead the complete Category function across all verticals, ensuring growth, profitability, and operational excellence.
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for category vision, supplier ecosystem design, commercial excellence, and cross-functional execution across Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Product, and Growth.
You will play a key role in building India’s fastest B2B quick commerce assortment engine and scaling across geographies.
Category Management & P&L
- Own the end-to-end P&L for assigned categories.
- Plan and execute category growth strategies, pricing, margin planning, and assortment.
- Track category performance, demand trends, and competition insights.
• Product, Placement & Cataloging
- Work closely with the Product team to improve platform experience and category visibility.
- Ensure correct product placement, ranking, and SKU visibility across the platform.
- Oversee cataloging quality—content accuracy, images, metadata, and timely SKU onboarding.
Sales Collaboration
- Work closely with the Sales team to drive category execution and product availability.
- Coordinate for promotions, retailer programs, and on-ground sales support.
- Collaborate on demand planning to ensure optimal stock levels for high-performing SKUs.
Brand & Vendor Management
- Lead negotiations with brands and distributors for best pricing, margins, and schemes.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and distributors.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure supply consistency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and Product teams forseamless execution.
- Use data insights, customer behaviour, and market analysis for decision-making.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of category/ commercial leadership experience in Quick Commerce, E-commerce, FMCG, Retail, or B2B distribution.
- Proven P&L ownership experience.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Experience scaling teams and building category playbooks.
- MBA preferred from Tier 1/2 institutes.
