- Job holder will be responsible for ensuring support of KPIs’ across portfolios ensuring compliance with established standards, procedures and guidance
- Other areas of responsibilities would include
- Policy administration & File maintenance – ensure file is established (whether electronic or paper) and maintained for each risk and transaction handled
- Support any other business initiatives /project
- To contribute the Underwriting Function for Casualty so as to deliver the technical result for the Dubai and Bahrain operations in line with the requirements of the Head of Casualty UAE and Bahrain to support delivery of the overall business strategy.

- UW and Technical Governance Framework e.g. UW rationale, 5 Stages of UW, adherence to pricing tools etc.
- Maintain the SLA within the agreed TAT
- Reviewing allocated cases and deliver underwriting decisions, following agreed processes at the designated authority level, in order to secure profitable business within the agreed risk appetite.
- Contributing to peer review processes as required to support and enable the maintenance of an effective control environment & deliver efficiency
- Supporting in managing and developing an agreed portfolio of Accounts in order to maximise profitable revenue potential from new and renewal business and achieve agreed business KPIs.
- Contributing to the development and monitoring of Account Plans, gaining agreement to and implementing them in order to secure renewals and optimise profitable business growth potential at individual account level.
- Managing complaints within own license level in an appropriate fashion to maintain quality and continuity of relationships.
- Supporting the wider development of effective business strategies, priorities and market propositions, drawing on own knowledge, understanding and interpretation of local markets, competitors and Accounts.
- Leading and guiding the team members of the Operations Dept. by motivating them to stay focused, be a mentor, take initiative to bring the members closer
- Delivery of Ops Excellence business improvements in the operation implementing improvements and efficiencies in service and cost savings
- Process all underwriting documents neatly and accurately within the month before month end closing (New Businesses, Mid Term Adjustments, Renewals, and other Policy Administration processes)
- The following skills are required as a minimum to perform this job:
- In depth insurance and underwriting knowledge, Minimum Certificate Qualification
- Relationship / Network with intermediary for at least min 5 years
- Analytical capability of min 5 years
- Prior experience in general insurance lines mainly property & liability for min 5 years
