About This Role
Job Purpose
- To ensure that all due payments to the company are received, recorded, and deposited into the correct bank accounts, in timely and transparent manner and as stipulated by AJVA policy & procedure.
Key Accountabilities & Activities
- Receive cash payments from customers, coordinate with the sales department, ensure that the correct amount has been received, prepare all documentation required, and also ensure that this is done in accordance with AJVA policies & procedures & in a very customer friendly manner.
- Receive finance cheques from banks, commercial companies, and lease customers; ensure all relevant documents are completed & collected for on time depositing of cheques.
- Keep timely & accurate records of Payments received / deposited.
- Verify all documentation pertaining to Petty Cash.
- Prepare documentation required to deposit cash and cheques ensuring that cash is allocated to the correct bank accounts, in accordance with se rules & procedures.
- Respond to all customer inquiries, greeting acknowledging customers in a friendly, professional manner.
- Provide quick responsive service to maximize the customers’ satisfaction.
- Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
Job Specifications
- Diploma in Finance.
- 2 - 3 Years experienced as a Cashier and prefer in Automotive Industry.
