Key Responsibilities

• Carve and portion meats such as beef, lamb, chicken, turkey, and other specialty items according to restaurant standards.
• Ensure food presentation is attractive and consistent.
• Maintain proper portion control to minimize waste.
• Set up and maintain carving stations in a clean and organized manner.
• Monitor food temperatures and ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Assist in food preparation and buffet setup when required.
• Replenish food items during service hours.
• Interact professionally with guests and respond to inquiries regarding menu items.
• Maintain cleanliness of utensils, carving equipment, and workstations.
• Follow company policies, health regulations, and HACCP standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role within a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment preferred.
• Good knife handling and carving skills.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

• Culinary training or food handling certification is an advantage.
• Experience in buffet or live carving stations preferred.
